My Head in the Clouds

It's very easy to get inspired by nature for your designs, your choice of colors, as well as your prints. Nature never fails, it never mis-matches, it never produces anything visually substandard. Man does.

For this reason, if you find yourself uninspired, unmotivated, afflicted by the loathsome "designer's block", just take a walk, go for a hike, look around you, and let nature bring back the spark of your creative genius.

One of the natural phenomena that is rarely used as a visual clue is what's above us. The sky - and the space beyond - with its limitless manifestation of physical prowess (a storm, a starry night, a cloudy day, a thunderbolt, ecc) lends itself so well to the outdoors lifestyle that I have found a few examples cleverly used by some designers and brands in activewear and casual apparel.

1. Cloud Pullover by Kenzo

2. Jack and Jones Jjorstorm Zip Up Jacket

3. Michi Pantasm Legging by Reebok

4. Cloud Dress by Zimmerman

5. High racer Cloud Bikini by Dawn
