Men's Style Blogs

As men's fashion in the past didn't have much resonance (it was in fact only associated with European dappers at most), not many designers ever bothered working with menswear. Today, as we know, that has changed, as the metrosexual and the - more currently - the lumbersexual specimen demonstrate. Designers now are happier to please a contemporary man that not only cares about the way he looks, but also knows what fits him well, is fluent in technical sartorial terms, and even has a thing or two to teach to many women out there in terms of textile and color pairing. Women are historically somewhat fickle when it comes down to shopping: what we love and spend a paycheck on one day might turn into the donation bin next month. Men, on the other hand, are generally more discerning when it coms down to spending money: even a leather belt needs to represent an investment in their eyes. Women love many brands; men love only few, but do so for the long haul. Brand loyalty is what fashion retailers, designers and apparel corporate giants work on building when thinking about their men's customer base. If you love menswear as much as I do, here is a list of some of my favorite men's style blogs I frequently peruse for inspiration:

1) MrPorter

One of the most powerful and recognized high fashion menswear sites in the world.

2) Articles of Style

Curated by a team of savvy, street-smart and stylish gentlemen, including the editor's own personal style tips.

3) Highsnobiety

This is perhaps the most global of all men's centric blogs out there, focusing on topics that go well beyond fashion: from electronics to sports, travel and lifestyle.

4) ThirdLooks

This is awesome because it focuses on brands and products that should be a first look, rather than a third.

5) WellSpent

Rooted in economical spending and sustainability.

6) Men in This Town

A blog about "regular" stylist men strolling about their city.

7) Speaking of Style

Fresh, interesting editorials based on quality and relevant discussion-starters.

8) Four Pins

A "light", funny side about style that hooks you in with its wit.

7) Hybeast

Another must-know. By now turned into a multi-faceted website.

8) Inventory

Minimalistic, well curated, focused on superior craftsmanship.

9) My Belonging

East coast meets west coast style.

10) He Spoke Style

If you like that retro, Mad Men style that might or might not be the rage for years o come.

11) Selectism

Berlin-based website about pretty much everything.

12) Kate Loves Me

This was named as one of the 40 most influential style blogs in the world by Time magazine.

13) One Dapper Street

Another German-born blog, that has so far attracted the attention of the Huffington Post, GQ, Barneys and more.

14) Style Society Guy

Amazing street style photography, and the founder is now a contributing writer for Details magazine.

15) The Three F

The first Italian men's fashion blog, dedicated mainly to sophisticated personal outfits.

16) Men's Reverie

Directly from Milan, this is my personal favorite.

17) Simply Mr T

Another Italian blog, focused on a modern interpretation of the gentleman and the dandy.

18) French Trucker

I love this, even if it's not curated as often as it should be.
